Andrzej brings to the organization scientific, media, and IT experience. Originally a scientist in the field of isotope geology, in mid-1990’s Andrzej turned to science journalism. Andrzej authored articles in some of the biggest Polish journals, including Wiedza i Życie, Przekrój, Wprost, and has co-created science news service for the Polish Public Radio. He worked as earth sciences editor in Wiedza i Życie, a popular science monthly, and in Academia, the flagship quarterly journal of the Polish Academy of Sciences. As translator and editor of scientific and educational content, Andrzej collaborated with Discovery Networks, Planete, National Geographic, Nowa Era, Świat Nauki, and Khan Academy. He was appointed vice-president of the Polish Society of Science Journalists Naukowi.pl. A self-taught expert in IT and media technology, and a protagonist of everything open – open-source software and hardware, open data, open access, and open educational resources. He graduated from Warsaw University with a degree in Geochemistry.
